The Volunteer Spirit

Sun City West residents have built an enviable reputation for helping others. In addition to the many volunteer opportunities within the community, residents can be found helping our neighbors by tutoring children at nearby schools, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, working at the St. Mary’s Food Bank or Valley View Food Bank, and in many other ways.

Our Visitors Center is staffed with over 100 volunteers who provide community tours, answer visitor inquiries and act as an important community resource for Sun City West residents.

Volunteers play an important role at the PORA office where they assist in the Membership Office, during BINGO nights, in the Education office and in the Visitors Center.

Sun City West is also one of the safest communities, thanks to the many volunteers of the Posse who patrol the local streets 365 days a year. They provide extra ears and eyes for the County Sheriff’s Department.

Benevilla provides help for the home-bound and is one more of the many opportunities that exist for volunteers within the community.

Whatever your skills or interests, there is a rewarding opportunity awaiting you!
